Layered Florals

The first of the month marked the start of the autumn season for us here in New Zealand. However, it is fair to say that our summer was more of an autumn. I am not kidding, we have had more rainy days than actual summer-y days this year. I don't know about everybody else, but my jacket did not get packed this time round, and to make matters worse, I have felt cold almost every moment of everyday.

Moving on, this is a good time of year. I love layering up my warm clothes. I love collecting cardigans and make sure every overseas trip I take, I come home with 4 or 5 cardigans to wear during the year. After all, the best part of any trip is the shopping, and coming home with clothes  that no one else in your small city has!

The dress I've featured previously on the blog here when I wore it as part of one of Hijab Fashion Week's themes. My ring is a vintage ring from the 1980s. I have been in love with it since I was a child as it is part of a set my mum owned (a few things are missing now). I'm so glad she has finally agreed to give it to me. Expect to see more of it on this blog.

Trench- Forever 21 (a few years old)
Dress- Jay Jays
Cardigan- Glassons
Scarf- Scarf Queen
Shoes- Unknown

What a beautiful ring! I am going home...and I have been reading so many fashion blogs that are re-using their mothers old jewelry. I am about to raid my mom's jewelry box when I get home to find all of her old stuff she doesn't wear anymore. One beautiful gift she gave me was a tikka (that Pakistani/indians wear on their heads) for my wedding day that she also wore on her wedding day. It was beautiful. :)
